| - The cashier is very friendly, though the same cannot be said for the barista. I ordered a grande tea with the ice in a separate cup (on the side). I was served a grande cup of ice, and a less-than-half full cup of tea. Vexed, I asked, "how come this drink is not full?". She justified the shakedown by claiming that if I had ordered ice, the amount of tea beverage I would have received would be equal to the half full cup I was holding because of the space the ice takes up. This is a SCAM. I ordered a grande tea, not a grande ice and tea. While it is clever of Starbucks to occupy as much space as possible with ice when the customer requests ice, when ice is not requested the cup should be full, as that is what is listed on the menu. Imagine you are selling your home without a realtor. Your buyer then only coughs up 97% of the price that was agreed to, under the guise that you would have only received 97% if you had a realtor who charged a 3% commission. This illogical behavior is perfectly analogous to that of this barista. Even if it is common practice to serve only half the amount of tea when there is ice, an exception to that rule was made when we formed an implied contract at the cash register. They cannot accept payment if they will intentionally not deliver on what was promised. This is definitionally a swindle and I was unfortunate enough to almost get hoodwinked by this questionably legal operation. When I challenged the portion, the barista hastily and aggressively shook their tea pitcher into my cup, and said "it's not a big deal". If her opinions were even remotely consistent, she would not have so assiduously served me what she thought was fair when she initially made my drink. She would have filled the cup to the brim if she was truly nonchalant, but of course, the consistency of this attitude, as with seemingly everything else in this Starbucks, is extremely deceiving and FRAUDULENT. I will never return.
