  • Java House is a restaurant and bar. They are cash only, so please remember that! Bathrooms are gendered and not physically accessible. The menu is all over the place; they offer coffees, teas, sandwiches, breakfast, a bunch of entrees and about 3 vegan entrees. Sandwiches are ridiculously reasonably priced. I had the brie and avocado, which was great. The service is good, the cocktails are good and the food is good. This isn't a place I'd venture to "on purpose" but rather is one of the few bars I can stand near the Velvet Underground.
