I have been here multiple times now and I still give it a 2 overall.
Every time I have been in this place it has been FREEZING COLD. Within ten minutes Im shivering or leaving. And the beverages are just alright. I've had better tea and coffee. I do appreciate their all vegetarian menu, and the banana bread and treats, but that isn't enough to bring me back. The service is lacking, big time. The people who work there always seem too engaged in what their doing to chat it up with you or make you feel welcome.
Even on my most recent experience: After waiting for someone to come to the front, I ordered a small hot tea. No talk, no smile, from the barista girl. She made my tea and set it on the bar almost spilling over. I looked around for milk but they never have any kind of creamer on the bar - you have to ask for it. So I asked her if she could pour some out so I could put cream in it. She gave me this look like I was the biggest pain in the ass ever, for asking for this. I even apologized, because she looked so irritated.
I would rather walk a few blocks to get to some of the more established and welcoming coffee shops like Songbird on Roosevelt or JoBot on 5th.
