  • The place to go if you are an electronic music fan! The Guvernment has a worlwode reputation (which I did not know beofre I went there). Regular DJ shows are organized, and let me tell you that it is not the local DJ, indeed international DJs are the guests there (e.g. David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren)!! Of course you will pay an entrance fee around $20 (sometimes more than that) but it is worth it (again if you really lik electronic music). The place is very impressive, with 7 rooms (I was told there were more than that, but I counted the one I have been in and the ones I saw). Only one room is dedicated to non-electro music, more specifically rnb, reggae and hip hop. If you come with a group, the better is to have a rallying location and timing (that's what I do with my friends). The place is too huge to look for someone, plus it is kind of dark... Ah yes and the Guvernement is one of the rare night clubs in Toronto to close at 5am!! So for sure you can maximize your entrance fee ;-) The only drawback that I see for that place is its location. It is in the middle of nowhere on the quays. Anyway as an electronic music lover, I highly recommend this place!!
