| - Ok, one of my Yelp friends bookmarked this place, and it's arrival on my wall caught my attention. Woah. Girl. Hey, I'm going to Las Vegas. I like Girls. Let's just bookmark that myself. And there we go. Nearly a month later, after my tour at the Neon Museum, I found myself in the shopping plaza this place is in. No, it's not over by the grocery store. I wandered around a bit, and followed the numbers to find the place.
I nearly gave up, until I finally figured out where they were. If you're looking at the big grocery store, go all the way up those stairs over there, and then turn right at the top. Keep walking all the way down there, and go around the corner. You'll find the doors of the place.
I tugged on the doors, and was quickly welcomed by a pair of scantily clad girls. They led me over to a table, and sat me down. A menu was placed before me, and I really did my darndest to maintain eye contact as they gave me the basics of the place.
They introduced themselves as Judy and Lilly. They were both friendly and bubbly and chatty. Judy explained that they usually start off the new guys with something that lots of people like. I thought that was a good idea, I let them know that I wanted caffeine, and hot; as it was starting to rain out there and I was a tad chilly. Looking at the menu, there's a cornucopia of coffee drinks, as well as snacks and even sandwichy things to fill you up.
They put their heads together and I ended up with a Thai Iced Tea with boba balls. Are they boba balls or just boba? I dunno. I've never really enjoyed chewy coffee, but giggling mostly naked girls told me it was a good idea. So...it seemed like a good idea. I ordered the drink and looked around the place. There's a clever check in thing. I chuckled as I checked in and read it. Lilly came over, and I showed it to her. She also laughed. No. You have to go there to see it.
There was actually nobody else in here. In the corner sat a healthy stack of board games, card games, magazines and books. I guess you can go in and play games if you've got a crew of people who want chewy coffee. So that's fun.
It seemed that Judy was on break, as she sat at a table with the owner, his wife and assorted small children playing on tablets. I told Lilly that I was new in town, and looking for stuff to do. I told her of the things on my list. She thought all were good ideas, but suggested I head over towards the LINQ promenade to poke around and kill some time. Thanks Lilly!
Before too long my hot thai boba ball tea showed up. I quickly discovered that hot thai boba ball tea is only slightly cooler than the surface of the sun. Pro Tip: Give it some time to cool off. Try not to awkwardly gawk at the mostly naked girls. Play cards or board games with your friends.
Lilly wandered off, and Judy was entertaining the small child. Was it her kid? I dunno. I checked the area for rare and crazy pokemons. But there were none. Eventually the hot lava cooled so I could drink it. It was actually pretty good. Very caffiene-ey. I avoided the chewy boba balls until I HAD to try them. I think giggly mostly naked girl asked what I thought. I forced a smile and a "mmmmmmm."
Yes. Grown up Scott re-asserted brain control. Chewy Coffee is bad. Blech. I savored my cup of warmth, and re-heated my internals back up to normal. When I finished, I took care of the bill, thanked the mostly naked giggly girls, and had a picture taken with them.
Good times. I'll probably be back for my next visit. Thank you Lilly for your suggestion of the LINQ. It was super cool.
