I purchased a Groupon for a 1/2 hour massage. I called and left a message to schedule an appointment and still hadn't received a return call after several days. I called again, left another message and finally got a return call the following day. On the plus side, they were able to get me in quickly (the following day). I was told to arrive five minutes early to fill out paperwork.
I arrived five minutes early, quickly filled out the paperwork and waited for a minute. We got into the room right at 1:30, which was my scheduled appointment time. The masseuse then talked with me for a couple of minutes about my back, then left for me to undress and took her time returning. The massage wasn't bad (although the masseuse said she would focus on both my lower and upper back and never even touched my lower back). When it ended, I looked at my phone and saw the time was 1:53. So the massage was 20 minutes but advertised as 30. I spoke to my masseuse about this and she said they end ten minutes early to give time to dress and fill out paperwork. I told her I already filled out the paperwork, which is why I came early. (I don't need ten minutes to put my clothes on.) She seemed defensive and said that's how they do it.
I then expressed concern to the receptionist. I told her it's false advertising. She said, "I can see where you're coming from but the fine print does say we stop the massage ten minutes early for you to get dressed." I've never experienced this with any other massage company and find it annoying.
Also, there was loud music in the main area that was distracting as I could hear it during my massage.
I guess you get what you pay for. There's a reason this place is on Groupon.
