  • We stayed here from Aug 12-17th. When we arrived here with 2 tired kids in tow, we were instantly confused as to where to park, there are no signs/directions and the parking complex that is used and isn't labeled as such. We did not use the valet service because -why- pay $20/night when you are already paying a daily resort fee on top of hotel charge? We did not use the free shuttle bus in to town because the 'return' time was before dinner and it was clear they wanted us back to eat there to make more cash. Room: By far the absolute quietist AC in existence. Perfect, I'm a light sleeper. Room was clean within standards. I asked for a room in a quite part of the hotel, because I am a light sleeper and we were put facing the pool on the ground floor...really? Also, there was a SURGE of guests Friday/Saturday night which made being on the ground floor, near the pool, very noisy...until 10pm Beds: comfy Bathroom: It was my dream bathroom, big and clean. I'd of liked a spare box of tissues because we ran out. Housekeeping: Do they have a schedule or show up when they feel like it? We arrived back at 5pm on one day and the room hadn't been attended. Sad. The grounds around this place are lovely but VERY badly maintained. Fountains are stained & not operational. The plaza nearby has a nice selection of restaurants (reviewing them individually) to choose from. Breakfast Buffet: Kids, husband & I loved it. The fresh berries & fruit were a big hit with my daughter and my son is desperately trying to recreate your scrambled eggs at home. It was good value for the cost BUT considering we were paying 100's of dollars per night and staying several days there we would have liked a discount h'm? The waiters/waitress that served us were very professional & prompt. Spa Service: Not used. Glad I read reviews when I got home so I don't regret not using them. The bridge, and several other locations around this hotel are clearly being neglected. On the bridge the ceiling tiles are dislodged and birds are nesting up there. Sad that'd it's an easy fix and you can't be bothered. The bridge would be a stunning place to put an open air evening cafe on but, you can't be bothered it seems. This hotel is surviving on minimal effort & past glory. I'm no hotel expert, just a housewife, but for the just over a thousand dollars we paid to stay here I can't justify returning back ever again.
