  • My boyfriend found this place through Groupon. It is now a new favorite of mine. We did make reservations, as it was a Friday night, and we were seated quickly. The ambiance was intimate with live music that was interesting to watch, yet fit into the background (bass & sax combo). This is a family business, and the pride in their enterprise is evident and justly so. Jon was a gracious host and Covey was the perfect waiter. Helpful with explaining the menu. Present when needed. Didn't hover. The food was beautiful and delicious. The menu is limited, but I would bet that everything offered is wonderful. Any pasta can be substituted w/ gluten free as well. We shared the bruschetta that included eggplant in its ingredients. Delish. Even the bread it was served on was perfect. (toasted crusty, not too hard, right thickness). For dinner, I ordered the Gnudi. The ricotta dumplings were fantastic and the braised beef with horseradish gremolata was tender and perfect. My boyfriend had the Chicken Marsala. Absolutely yummy with tender, perfectly seasoned chicken and sauce. For dessert we split the carrot cake. This was not your traditional carrot cake. It was more dense and fine, and I would actually hesitate to call it carrot cake. That being said, it was wonderful. Carrot-y and lemon-y, moist, with a frosting that was a perfect pairing. I know the word perfect and delicious were repeated here many times, but they absolutely fit with this place. I'm very glad they had the groupon offer so we had the opportunity to discover this gem. We will definitely be returning. To the family of Solo Trattoria, thank you for hosting such a wonderful dinner. It was an absolute pleasure.
