  • This was our second time choosing China Poblano for our date night. Considering all of the options in Vegas, we rarely go to the same place twice! The salt foam margarita is literally craveable. The first time we did the chef's tasting menu and everything was perfect. This time we decided to be a little more adventurous. Unfortunately, not everything on the menu is equal. It was 50/50. Half of our choices were 10/10 for taste, presentation and creativity. The other half was disappointing, and not what we've come to expect from Jose Andres. Favorite items of the night were the nopales taco and the golden pigs. Most disappointing was the Mongolian beef. The jury is still out on the XO noodles. My husband described them as interesting and ended up finishing them. I took two bites and did not want to go back for more.
