  • First off, for being in Southpointe, I've gotta say- I expected a much nicer salon atmosphere. But oh well. So, I'm currently sitting in the salon while the nail tech is finishing up my nails. I couldn't even wait to do this when I left.. It's been a nightmare since I walked in. They stood and talked in "their language" when I walked in. It was so awkward, as if they didn't see me standing there. Then, once I sat down the lady didn't soak my acrylic nails off.. She literally ripped them off. I finally had to ask her to stop, because it really hurt! Meanwhile, she and the others working there were talking amongst themselves the WHOLE time, making the experience very unpleasant and impersonal. I mean for God sake, I couldn't chime in if I wanted to.. I couldn't understand them! Finally, after we got through that.. It was time to pick a color (which by the way- not a good selection in gel polish). Anyway, I picked one and she said "nobody pick that color, nobody like it. Get pink and white". Ummm? No thank you? So here is a couple words to describe my experience.. Rough, painful, awkward, rude, and pushy. Don't go.
