So far Tamari is the best restaurant I've been to in Pittsburgh since moving here from San Francisco in August. It's a fusion asian/spanish place with swanky decor, extensive cocktail list and delicious aroma filling the entire dining floor from their open kitchen.
We started with sushi for appetizers: spicy tuna roll and something deep-fried with shrimp. And it was ok... spicy tuna wasn't spicy and I'm just not a fan of tempura no matter how great it is. BUT! The next part of my meal was absolutely 5-stars: pork belly with tiny roasted potatoes and spicy sauce. Followed by a macademia nut, white chocolate cheese cake - yum!
