My four friends and I had a reservation for 6:30pm on May 14, 2016 at Pikes. While the food was great, the manager was very rude to us. The manager didn't greet us when we came in. We told him we had a reservation, he just told us to wait and walked off. When he came back, he led us to our table in silence. It made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted at the restaurant. Our waitress, Jasmine, saw the entire exchange and was extremely sweet and wonderful and immediately apologized for the manager's behavior. The manager heard her apologize to us and pulled her aside to talk to her. We couldn't hear what was said but she was sent away in tears. Then we were served by a series of random servers. We were incredibly confused by what was happening. The table next to us who was closer to the Jasmine and the manager, told us she was fired on the spot but didn't understand why. The table next to us were regulars at Pikes and knew Jasmine well and said she was the nicest person, a single mom and had always been very kind to them. They were extremely worried about her especially when they saw her crying. The rest of the time the wait staff was wonderful though the servers were very random. We continue to see the manger who seemed to be picking up Jasmine's tables but thank goodness we didn't have any more interactions with him.
