  • I doubt that UNLV cares that they are one of the worst universities in the country and probably the world.. my first semester they lost my admissions papers.. and when i asked for a refund of my application fee they denied it.. even though they didnt have any of my admissions paperwork.. funny how they had my money but not the paperwork i turned in with it i was forced into mid semester classes which were terrible and not classes i would have ever taken if they didnt lose my paperwork.. i should have know right then and there this school was going to be more hassle than it was worth.. my second semester went by without a problem i got into the classes i needed.. then my 3 semester they lost all my paperwork proving i was a resident of nevada.. i was forced into mid semester classes again, the same crap classes as before.. funny how they don't have any real options when they screw up on their end you're just forced into whatever they have.. my fourth and last semester they really screwed me.. my grandfather was admitted into the hospital very early in the semester i missed a lot of classes because of this.. my grandpa died and I left town for the funeral..after i told this to the office of the registrars asking them to take the semester off my record and refund me the money, they told me to file an appeal.. even with a death certificate they denied my claim 6 times!!!! this caused me even more pain and frustration than i was already in.. I appealed 6 times!! finally after 5 months and my relentless appeals, and going to their office constantly they finally helped me.. well not helped me really as in gave in.. because during this process i swore at someone and so they put me on probation and forced me to get a psychiatric evaluation and talk to an idiot in campus security.. hahaha isnt it funny that they screw up at a time when I'm in mourning, because i swear at someone they can screw me even more.. This is the worst school ever with terrible employees most of whom are students who don't actually know the process themselves and give you bad information which leads to even more problems. do they care.. NO! they just want you're money.. they don't care that they're graduation rate is crap, they're retention rate is crap, or overall they are just a crap school.. they still get paid so why be better
