  • Carnicero's is a relatively new addition to the St. Lawrence Market. A meat stand (the name escapes me) occupied this space before. After having seen a feature in Toronto Life I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Pulled Pork Burrito which comes on your choice of 4 wraps: Spinach, Whole Wheat, Regular, and Sundried Tomato. The burrito is packed with coleslaw and hot sauce. My biggest woe whenever eating a pulled pork anything is that the pork is usually dry. This is not the case at Carnicero's. The pork was tender and extremely flavourful and it had the right amount of heat from the hot sauce. The flavour is reminiscent of the seasoning and spices you'd find in a pack of Pork Jerky (a la Chinois) from the supermarkets. I also ogled that they offer fajitas (chicken or steak). I will definitely be back to try those! Cash only.
