| - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
SHORT VERSION:
They charged me an unauthorized, separate amount of $167. When confronted, they told me it was accidentally charged from someone else's bill. It took them 1.5 weeks (2 weeks before Christmas) to correct the problem after 5 phone calls! Not only that, the work was shoddy. The windshield does not sound sealed, it makes this popping sound when I go over a bump.
LONG VERSION:
I had a out of pocket windshield replacement. Made my appointment online. First, there were a group of employees chattering loudly about what they would order for lunch huddled at the front desk. No one seemed to be doing any work except for the 2 techs in the bays.
When I'm called up, I pay with my debit card. I only signed the work order, no other credit forms. As soon as I get home, I happen to check my bank account. They had charged me a separate amount for $167, in addition to the $190 I expected. I immediately called the shop and was told the original charged was just an authorization and the $160 was the discounted amount which is what I will be charged. The $190 will disappear from my pending charges in a day or so.
Two days later, both charges go into my cleared ledger. I call them back again. This time they (Monica) told me the $167 was a mistake, it was from someone else's bill. What the hell! She said they would have it removed. I told them it was creating an overdraft. She told me if I send them an email with the overdraft amount, they will reimburse me. She hangs up before I can get her email address. There is no email to be found anywhere on the receipt of website. She never apologized, just said they would take care of it.
One week later - both charges are STILL on my account! This was right before Christmas and I needed the money. I call, its Monica again. I was put on hold for a couple of minutes. she comes back and tells me the charge has been removed and will appear in 2-3 business days. I wondered why it will take days, when I return something in a store, the refund is immediate.
Another 2 days and the charge is still on my account. The main headquarters tells me it was submitted, as per Monica, the last time I called. I ask them what day, they say Tuesday (I spoke to her Monday. The next day, I finally have the refund on my account.
Never in my 51 years have I ever had anyone "accidentally" charge me for someone else's bill. Now, It's been about a month since the service. The windshield makes a popping sound like the seal is not complete. I have no interest in dealing with these people again so I'll wait until it needs to be replaced and go somewhere else.
