| - Wow, is this place popular!! And I can definitely see why.
It's like being transported back in time. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by someone who hands you a rose (as long as you have b00bies) and then you are taken to your table. The ambience is wonderful. The place is dimly lit and everyone is dressed up in suits.
The waiters are all very friendly, although that could be because I was about 60 years younger than anyone else in the place....and I'm not exaggerating.
Apparently, they specialize in martinis. I didn't have one. I'm just putting it out there :)
Anyways, the salads are awesome! There is a salad cart that comes to your table and your salad is completely customized. I can't recall all the options but here are a few: bay shrimp, egg, bleu cheese crumbles, croutons, onion, tomato, and pine nuts. As for dressings they offer caesar, pepper ranch, and a really good honey something rather vinaigrette (which I opted for). Not something I usually go for but I'm glad I did. It was delicious!
To start with, I had the shrimp cocktail, 3 jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce and a super yummy remoulade. That really made the dish!
In between the appetizers and meals, they bring over a tiny scoop of lemon sorbet on a mini cone to clease your palette. I have never been to a place that did this before but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I also got prime rib, prepared medium rare. It was very good. You can also get them crusted with bleu cheese or horseradish, which I accidentally forgot to ask for :(
To top the meal off, the include chocolate covered strawberries, apricots, and figs. Really special touch.
I loved it here! The ambiance was really amazing and it is definitely a place to go if you are celebrating something special! Be prepared to spend some coin though. Really worth it
