This little gem is located in the same strip mall that houses a Sprouts Farmers Market, an accountant, a big chain pizza shop, a barber and a Starbucks and it is a beacon of light for Phoenix. This mom and pop Italian far cuisine is absolutely to die for and it will not cost you an arm and a leg to treat yourself to one of the best experiences in The Valley of the Sun.
The staff is attentive and welcoming (which is needed after a long day of business travel from out of town), the atmosphere was relaxing, the way we romanticize eating Italian food in a neighborhood piazza. It is a small and intimate setting. I dined alone but several parties of friends and families were tucked into tables in the dining room very comfortably.
I think next time I come, I will bring a special someone and recommend the black ink pasta. This dish looks absolutely beautiful, and with the seafood variety that came with the pasta, I thought I was eating just a few miles from the sea. The wines were a perfect pairing to the food which I will be dreaming about until my next return.
