  • So my friends and I were out on a Sunday and went to two different places to find NO specials, loud annoying music and lack of misters to help endure the AZ heat but still enjoy the weather. THEN we stumble upon "The Handlebar" in Tempe. This place had a great atmosphere, HAPPY HOUR (every day of the week including SUN), misters that hit cha no matter where you sat and GREAT staff! There was a gentleman (manager?) who stopped by 3 times in our short visit just to make sure everything about our visit was satisfactory. NICE! Their menu could stand to be a little expanded but my friend did try the brat and I agree w/the one bite I took, TASTY! I couldn't decide on the beer I wanted so the server suggested to let her bring me a few taste glasses to help me decide. They also have the coolest big long rectangle fire pit w/seating all around the edge-very classy looking. Last but not least, the crowd is mature! Not your average "Mill Ave" hang out which is nice for most of us "non-20sums". If you're looking for a nice outdoor atmosphere in Tempe w/great staff/customer service and decent pricing...this is your joint!
