I've boarded dogs at a number of kennels and this is my least favorable experience with a boarder/kennel in the valley.
First impression was terrible. When I dropped my dog off the receptionist appeared to be the only employee on site. There were several people waiting in front of me so I had some time observe. There were two holding type rooms viewable from the lobby. In one a dog had had a very messy accident and he and his towel were quickly becoming covered. The smell in the lobby was soon unbearable. One man was waiting for a tour and was told to come back another time because no one was there to give a tour. The next man wanted a copy of his receipt and the receptionist was unable to provide one. Finally another employee appeared to clean up the aforementioned accident. I asked to see the facilty since I had never boarded here. Dark, chainlinked kennels. Dungeon-esqe. I really felt bad about leaving my dog here.
Upon pick up, the second impression wasn't much better. Unproffesional, and not that friendly. The lobby smelled as bad as it did the first time -lke a full blown sewage explosion. I got no update on how my dog did during his visit. A lot of concerning issues with this place - not NEARLY enough staff on site to properly care for and attend the animals and/or keep their stalls, or the place in genera, clean. unprofessional, and just seemingly unknowledgeable.. they gave me back my dog's collar when i dropped him off. ? the reasoning was so it didnt catch on anything. I've never had this happen before and prefer my dogs tag with identification and phone number be attached to him. I paid in cash and the boy checking me out asks me how much money is there... uhhh, i know we are moving out of the cash-era and you might be unfamiliar with non-plastic types of monetary compensation, but i think the next logical step is for you to count the money and make change. this place is wierd.
