  • ****please read this can save your babies life*** I know this is lengthy but please read If you love your unborn child please please do not go here! First of all, upon my arrival was the front desk Hispanic lady who was openly talking about another patients condition that right there should've told me something. Not only is this wrong as a professional place of business but HIPAA law! However, I was excited about my pregnancy, and wanted to get blood work done, and make sure I was healthy for my baby. I finally seen Robert Gatlin who was a pleasant guy like previous reviews said, but he just rushed through my appointment not addressing my questions or concerns about my first pregnancy.I understand that I was a first time mother and he probably gets first timers who are just nervous so I understand why he overlooked my concerns, but a women's intuition is never wrong! I had blood work done that day back in July. I then had spotting about a week later, I then I immediately called his office spoke with Karen who put me on bed rest, and went in for an appointment the next day. He yet again rushed through my appointment saying that my body is getting used to having a baby so I'm spotting I asked about my blood test which he said I was normal. This was three weeks ago. I went in for an ultra sound last week and heard my baby's heart beat for the first time which eased my worrying. This Monday I started bleeding even heavier and just felt something was wrong so I went to the ER, and come to find out I was in the process of having a miscarriage, due to having rare RH- blood type which could've been prevented had he bothered to properly look through my blood test and given me the rhogam shot, and I would've been completely fine and my baby would still be alive today. The ER doctor informed me that this could've been prevented when my OB done my blood test. Also, I have talked to another OB to get a second opinion and she confirmed she would have given me the shot right away just in case. Also on the description of the rhogam medication shows I should have received the shot within 72 hours of the bleeding. I know first time moms worry about every little thing but this time I was right. It's sad how there is no awareness around being RH- from him when I now seen two other doctors who have told me that they would've treated me from the moment I started bleeding. I will be filing a formal complaint so this does not go unnoticed. I really hope this helps another mom from experiencing this pain and suffering I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
