| - My gripe is mainly with corporate, however, this was the location I USED to go to.
Their turnover rate says a lot about the business, which is disheartening as a customer to see. The rooms are mediocre clean, though I would get great color from some of the beds when the bulbs would actually get changed out. Their lotions and the selection are mediocre also. Having managed tanning salons in the past, their products don't stack up to my standards, so I'd just purchase my own lotions at other salons around town.
I was a customer for over four years, on auto pay, month to month with no complaints, although I never used my membership enough to make it worth the monthly spend. I didn't mind because of the convenience of different types of beds, several locations around town & some "24 hour" locations (really just open late - not truly 24 hours).
Since I was on month to month, I was told, I could freeze my account at any time. I had gotten a new card & was also out of town for a month. When I tried to place a new card number on file and resolve payment issues with corporate, I was either ignored or pushed to handle my issue in the store. The store then directed me back to corporate who had taken over two weeks to respond via email.
In that time frame, I decided to take my money to Palm Beach Tan and have been treated waaaayyyyy better thus far. Their rooms are much cleaner and their staff is so much more put together, confident in their product and actually look like they use the products (I don't think I've ever seen a tan Body Heat employee).
Overall, I'd only pay for the convenience of Body Heat, it's locations and late hours, but it's so not worth the monthly spend.
