  • Love hiking at red rock canyon. The scenery whether you are going to make the drive through or the hike if you are going to walk through are both amazing! If you want to get a work out, this is probably one of the best hiking spots in Vegas. Though during the summer it gets very very crowded, the boulders to jump and hills to climb will test even the most veteran hiker. Plenty of wildlife we saw while making the 40 min drive through. Donkeys, rabbits, goats etc. definitely enough to keep the kids happy and alert while visiting. If you are into Photography, you have the ability to get some of the most amazingly breathtaking photos. Sunrise, sunset, or even during the middle of the day. The red cliffs, with mountain views in the background are just what photographers like Peter Lik make come alive in their photos. Some of the greatest memories I've ever had in Las Vegas with my family were here at Red Rock Canyon. Everyone should take the 20 min drive and go see.
