  • My daughter tried out at the open auditions for the Nutcracker on Sunday 9/13/15. 1st we were told she would be able to audition with girls that were around her height (she is 5'5") then she was taken into the 9 - 12 year old audition. She was crazy taller then the girls. They would not tell us what the kids were actually auditioning for; however, the ones who came out of the audition with their packets that told them what part they got, it was for the little angels and little soldiers part. Well DUH my kid wasn't going to get a part when they were looking for 4 foot kids! LOL it was completely laughable at the ridiculousness of it all! Then my kid comes out and told us that the so called 'dance mistress' who told them what moves they were to dance was so quiet NOBODY in the back could hear! I'm not sure if we will try auditioning for this Nutcracker again. They need to start auditioning kids by height and not age. Again it was completely ridiculous.
