I've only been vaping for a couple of weeks now longer if you include my time using Blu... I don't... I bought my setup from a different shop in Phoenix and only recently discovered that there are a couple of shops in Tempe.
So I read the reviews here first but decided to still swing by. The store looks very professional and I appreciate that, I'm sort of put off by how many of the E Cig websites and stores look like headshops. The gentleman that helped me was nice and helpful but in the way a Walgreens employee is.... I didn't ask to sample liquids and he didn't offer. I saw here that you have to buy something from them to sample liquid any how... Butt Out in Phoenix (where I got my setup and original liquids) immediately offers samples of all of their liquids.
The problem with not offering FREE samples is they get one chance to impress me. I asked for a tobacco flavor without any sweetness, he gave me NicQuid Midnight express. Its ok it cost $10.95 ($12 after tax) on Niquids site it is $8.19. I expect and am willing to pay more at a physical store but what exactly am I paying for? instant gratification? I can plan ahead just fine 80% of the time. I'll be going back to Butt Out next time I want to try a new flavor because even though I think their prices are similar I know when I walk out I've bought a flavor that at least at first puff I liked.
They sell 3 brands of liquid. Synergy is there own in house mix, with some sort of natural flavoring process, NicQuid an American made liquid and some sort of cheap Chinese brand, which seems like a bad idea to even stock to me.
I'm a non expert customer so that means I'm dumb I might have loved their Synergy tobacco blend, if they had offered a sample... for free.
I didn't price out batteries or starter kits but I saw many boxes with joyetech's logo big and bold so they DO sell name brand stuff.
so my reviews are always written poorly so let me do this
TLDR; Great looking store in a great location, Friendly ish Employees, NO samples offered. I'm willing to drive the extra miles to go to a more helpful store in Phoenix instead.
