  • I loved this place. We hit them early in the night before the rush and left just as a big group was coming in from a bar crawl so I can't speak to how they are when they're slammed but when we were there it was basically the perfect bar. The atmosphere was casual but not divey (it's in Ceasar's Palace, I can't imagine a dive bar doing well there) there is sport playing on a TV but it's on mute so it's not distracting. They played the music low so you don't have to raise your voice and they were playing the kind of thing you'd hear on your local alternative radio station which was surprisingly refreshing after spending basically the entire weekend only hearing fairly loud pop or club music everywhere we went. The lighting inside was perfect, it was only lit by the light from the doorway leading into the bar from Ceasars and above the circular center bar, which made it so it was easy to read the cocktail menu but kept the other parts of the bar feeling intimate. The Patio outside was also kind of perfect, the music was louder out here but still not defined, there were cool tables with comfy seating and big patio umbrellas to keep the sun off you in the day, there were also smaller tables with one seat that lined the edge of the big roman fountain. The lighting was constantly changing between different neon colors but not flashing from one to the next so that there was a cool effect but it didn't hurt your eyes or give you a headache. There was a drink on the cocktail menu that had a type of booze I'd never heard so I asked the bartender about it, he was very friendly and didn't act condescending at all about me not knowing, he told me about the whiskey and the distillery that makes, then gave me a free taste. When I said how much I liked it he suggested a couple of cocktails that it would go well in and he was so knowledgeable that I asked him to make me whatever he wanted, what I ended up with was a boston style Whiskey Sour which is not a quick drink to whip up and I was very happy with his choice. If I lived on the Strip, this bar would be my regular spot.
