I'm updating my review based on a recent visit where we got some really bad vibes.
We're in the market for a sectional and they offered a low-end model we wanted to see. We were plucked immediately by a salesperson who knew immediately what piece we wanted to see. She showed us and it wasn't for us so we asked what else they had in that configuration. Initially, she said that was it (what?) but it's a big showroom and they had to have more than one sectional. After insisting and maybe pointing at some she showed us another model that we liked but it was in a color we didn't care for. Confusion followed about if it came in any other colors and whether it was discontinued. Another associate got involved and the answer was it wasn't available. We saw another sectional that was also not right for us.
Perhaps it was just this sales associate -- she was uninformed and clearly just wanted to make the sale and earn her commission. We had an ugly feeling that if we bought a sectional here, something would surely go wrong down the road. It was not a comfortable experience.
We also felt delivery was high. On the $700 sectional we were looking at delivery was $110 I believe. However, looking elsewhere, we're discovering the sectionals we like are more expensive so likely this is a way Bob's can keep their prices down a little.
With so many furniture stores in Madison I'm not confident we'll be back. You need to raise the bar a little bit Bob and get you staff better tained!
