Looking for a Friday lunch spot with good reviews led us to Ike's. The menu was extensive and left us standing for a few minutes trying to decide.
I chose the #2 - Hollywould's SF Cheesesteak with French bread. The steak was more of a gyro style then traditional ribeye, however it had a good taste. The cheese was good but they skimped on the mushrooms. Hubby had #504 - The Thunderbird with French bread. Hubby declared that it was all good with no complaints. We also enjoyed a side of onion rings.
The sandwiches were big. If you are light eaters you should probably share. Hubby thought he could not eat the whole thing but somehow he managed to muscle through. I was very surprised to see RC Cola fountain drinks. I hadn't seen this since we moved from the south 3 years ago.
My one suggestion to Ike's is a waiting area for carry out orders and more seating in general. We stood waiting for a table to become available. To my surprise/irritation 3 tables were occupied by patrons waiting for carry out.
