  • The dinner was lovely, the service was good, and the ambiance was really nice. When we received our dessert from the set menu, my friend was really not a fan, so I asked the waitress if they would change it for her - their response was: No problem at all, don't worry. At the price point of the restaurant, we expected for them to exchange the dessert, especially when the response was "No problem at all". Instead they charged us $13. In my experience, they should have mentioned that they would have to charge extra, or make a note of it when we received our bill. That (amongst other surprisingly high charges) made our dinner quite overpriced. What they should have said was: "Sorry we don't have espresso, but we can charge you $7 for a pour-over coffee" or "you didn't like our dessert? Too bad, here's another one for $13". Who pays $13 for a dessert? They could have at least warned us. Money doesn't grow on trees. TLDR: They are sneaky, and will charge extra while putting on a smile.
