I understand that Old Town Peoria is trying to attract more revenue.
And that's all good. But when business folks turn an old fire station into a distillery in this area.....well I'm sorry to say this isn't going to work.
First of all, you are located in the barrio. No one drinks just gin, vodka or bourbon fancy cocktails.
We need a beer back! We want munchies and we want rhythm and blues for music not that noisy crap you had playing. A pool table wouldn't hurt either. I know "you're not a bar" whatever that means, as the cocktail ninja kept repeating. My husband had a mix of ginger beer, jalapeno and agave nectar which had a name but I can't remember it. I wanted to try the strawberry cocktail but they were out of fresh mint and therefore the drink wouldn't of been at it's best. I can understand at the end of the night running out of an ingredient but not in the beginning of it.. Oh and the place closes at 10 pm but hey if you want a fancy drink at 11 a.m. it's there for you, or maybe not. The decor is so-so but I don't understand why such a small place (not a bar) would need 8 TV's???? Lucidi's, I think your dream has turned into a nightmare.
