| - On a late Saturday afternoon when I was rushing getting ready to go somewhere, I came downstairs from taking a shower to find all of the shower water from the 3rd floor bathroom came up out of my first floor powder room toilet. I had a massive clog in my sewage pipes. I called the home warranty the next day (Sunday) not realizing the extent of the issue and they sent out Hometown Rooter Plumbing for the standard $75 fee. Ken, the owner, came out Sunday and by that point, the pipe appeared to be empty, the clog having drained out. He said he'd send someone the next day (Monday) with the camera to send through the line and see what's up. The next morning after I showered again, it happened again and water again spilled out onto my beautiful first floor hardwood floors. The Hometown Rooter plumber who came Monday, I think his name is Joe, opened up the sewage stack and cleaned out the enormous clog that was inside then ran a camera down the lines and found cracks, separations and holes in my old terra cotta piping. I have yet to replace these but the work is intended to start within the next week. Ken came back out to my house and met with the insurance agents and ran the camera again to show them all the cracks and separations. Ken and Joe were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable throughout. I have been able to call them with questions and received quick turnaround on all my requests. Further, they really tell it to you straight and I appreciate their candor. I would definitely recommend this plumbing company.
