Our first experience at Takashi was amazing - the food was good, not great, but the presentation and value was out of this world. 12 courses for $40 and a lot of the choices are really quite tasty. Unfortunately, the second time we went was a little disappointing because they weren't presenting the courses the same way.
For example, our oysters came in a boat the first time, on a small white plate the second time. And our Sukiyaki came in a big old style pot while the second time it was a smaller and less stylistic pot.
That being said, the value is still there and if you go for one of the smaller options, you can still get a ton of value here. But value isn't everything and the food could still be better.
