  • Last night (11/10/12), my brother and I attended Citizen Cope. This was the first time for both of us at this venue. For starters, the room is huge and there does not seem to be a bad place to stand, for viewing. My brother (who bought the tickets) did pay the upgrade charge to VIP so I can't speak about the bar and bathroom accommodations for general admission but I can tell you that the bar, bathroom, and overall accommodations in the VIP area was top notch. The sound is top notch and the singing was very clear. I have been to several other smaller venues in the area so I can tell you that they have nothing on the sound system in this venue. One reason why I am not giving this venue 5 stars is because a couple of the security guards need some more training. The security guard we dealt with outside first sent us to the wrong line after checking our tickets and then preceded to overly check my small purse (he was literally beating the bottom of it) while letting two girls in front of me with much larger purses precede through without even checking them. However, once we got inside, I found the other security guards to be quite pleasant. Secondly, if you are expecting to sit down....forget about it. Even if you are in the VIP section, you have to pay an additional cost to have a seat. Personally, I found this a little ridiculous but I would not let this small thing stop me from going back. Side note, after the show, be prepared to wait. Trying to leave the parking lot directly across from the venue is an absolute nightmare. For some reason, security closed off the main entrance/exit and forced hundreds of cars to try to go out the same entrance/exit all without no one out there even trying to control traffic. Overall, I highly recommend this venue. I will definitely go back.
