| - Oh the moment you love again...
After Lisa (previous review of Pinky Nails) I never thought I could find someone like her. But like all heartbreak, the hurt passed. Amelie is...everything.
First of all, we're not talking about a full salon with rows of stations. Amelie works in a one person facility. It's you and her. She speaks perfect English and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable at all. It's intimate, a place that makes you feel like you matter.
Her work is phenomenal. Torontonians have not experienced a manicure until they've sat in Amelie's chair. She's meticulous with every aspect of her service. Cuticles, nails, polish, hygiene...you name it, she's a perfectionist. She was so gentle, but so effective. She didn't just push back some cuticle, clip clip, polish, out. No sir. She spent time filing nails to the appropriate length, balancing cuticles to exactly where they should be, buffing nails ever so gently to remove ridges, polishing nail and nothing but nail, finishing with an amazing hand massage. My nails are perfect. No but I mean it. Perfect. The pictures you see are exactly what you get. So much talent in one person!
During the entire session, I kept repeating how much I loved her in my head. She was everything I could have ever asked for and more. My nails will not be damaged by her. As a matter of fact, we're working together to repair years of bad manicures. She really is a pro.
After careful consideration, I have to admit that her price only seems high, but really, is far more reasonable than other salons. Her rate/hr works out to be considerably less and the quality is far higher than anything else you can find in the city.
I'm already excited for the next time I get to see her! We're definitely making this a ritual. Amelie if you read this, I wish I knew more words to thank you with. You're absolutely incredible and I'm so glad I found you. Thank you for your hard work.
