  • I needed an immigration medical exam and needed it urgently, I did not have time to book an appointment for the following week which all of the other places on the CIC list suggested. Dr Li's office was the only place that stated 'no appointment needed just come now and bring cash". I found it strange but needed one done ASAP and so this worked perfectly for me. It was a run down clinic in a run down part of town, very busy and full of refugees applying for asylum. Receptionists are abrupt and have no patience will shoo you away if they are busy. They call you in for various tests all very quick and rushed and clearly not a proper medical just the bare minimum needed to fulfill the immigration requirements. They call you for your height and weight, ask you for a urine sample and then you see the DR. I sat in Drs office and was told by the nurse 'now unhook your bra for breast exam' Ok fine I assumed this was part of the medical but didn't realize it would be the only Part! Dr Li came in no introduction lifted my tshirt moved my bra out of the way groped my breasts a little and then told me to sit down. He then exchanged a few words and to be fair seemed nice and polite he even tried a joke. He went through the medical list I had filled in while waiting asking if I had any major diseases then asked if I had anything on my legs or feet as he didn't want to have to physically check and would just take my word for it. All in all he spent around 3 minutes with me before I was told 'that's it done' I went back to the waiting room then was called for a very quick blood sample and next sent next door for the chest x-ray. Altogether it was a slightly bizarre experience but if you are in desperate need to get the medical done fast and can not wait for an appointment with any of the other clinics then it gets the job done. I am still a little confused as to why the only part of my body Dr Li needed to examine were my breasts but at the same time he didn't linger for too long and did not give a sleezy vibe. If I had to do it again I would book one of the other clinics which I am sure would be far more professional and an overall more pleasant experience but since I did not have the luxury of time I do not regret going to Dr Li as it got the Job done within the time I had. Also they were pretty efficient although you are there for two hours they call you up for something roughly every 10-15 minute so you do not feel the time so much. They said I would be in and out within 2 hours and I was. I do not recommend this clinic so would say Go to another CIC approved place if you can but if you need an appointment right now and can not wait then this place is fine as a very last resort.
