| - Updating my review as I still come to this nail salon creeping up on two years later. I still enjoy this location for the most part, but there's new management therefore things have changed.
New management brought in new gel nail polish colors, which are gorgeous for sure, but they often chip from my nails or lift earlier than my 2 week appointments. I've attempted multiple times of using these 'new colors', but now just resulted in only using them on my feet only or not at all. Never had this issue before with the other brand of nail polish, but whatever not that big of a deal.
My issue with this is when I went back one time to get it fixed, the new female owner would only apply one coat and I explained my other finger nails were two coats and you could see the difference. She refused to add the extra coat. Mind you it wasn't even all my fingers, just 2-3 of them. After going back and forth a few times, I just said forget it and walked out.
Another issue with new management is the vibe in the location. I feel like everyone isn't as happy as they use to be. They have to whisper, put on timers when they do pedi's now, and always look like they have to look over their shoulder to not get in trouble.
I have yet to see the female owner smile once since taking over. Always so serious with her schedule book walking around. The male owner smiles sometimes, but even he is over people's shoulder sometimes looking very serious.
I mean everyone has their own personalities and maybe I'm just use to the old owners smiling towards everyone more often than not.
I appreciate with the rules of not speaking anything but English, for the most part, but sometimes some things have to be said in a language for others to understand so for someone to get in trouble for that is a little silly. If you're going to apply a rule - be sure you do it as well. Time and time again management speaks Vietnamese , but the employees can't? That's odd.
Lastly, I was told there's a new rule where clients cannot text their nail techs for appointments? Another silly rule. I've been doing it for 2 years and it's more convenient for me with having two jobs , working 60+ hours a week and will continue to do so as long as I keep driving 45 minutes and bringing my business to this location. Sometimes I forget about my appointment and it's much easier to shoot a quick text , put it in my calendar , and move on to my next priority.
So long story short - would I recommend this place? Possibly - it's clean and spacious. The employees are for the most part friendly. Just needs some improvement on the managements end towards customers and making sure employees as well are just as happy.
