  • This grocer/deli/butcher specializes in products from Germany and the other German-speaking countries like Austria and Switzerland. If you're craving sauerkraut (cooked or raw) , sausages, Milka chocolates, Ritter Sport chocolates, elderberry or red current jam, specific cold-cuts from Munich, home-made pretzel bread and varieties of pickles you'll never find at Provigo then by all means, come here and stock up. There's a prepared foods counter in the back and a bakery and it's always fun to come by to see what they have on the offering. Apparently they have daily lunch specials as well. I find Europeans eat seasonally (i.e you don't get real strawberries in January...) and their foods reflect this. Autumn usually means more desserts and baked goods with apples or stone fruits for instance. Last time I came, they had some fresh open-faced plum dessert I have never seen anywhere else before in Montreal and picked up a few pieces. It was amazing. The service is super-friendly and while prices are higher than your typical depanneur or grocer, they won't break the bank either. It's worth a stop
