  • I have lived in the South Phx area for 7 years and had never stopped into Del Monte Market until this past Friday. It was as I expected- a small, old convenience store. Here's where it differs: 1- it's historic. Built in 1908, it is older than the state of AZ and they have pictures of it's history to prove it! So very cool to have a gem like this in our own back yard. 2- We told the lady working that it was our 1st time in and she gave us a tour with mini history lesson! She was super friendly, knowledgeable & nice. Don't get that at Circle K! 3- Oh my goodness, the chorizo breakfast burritos made hot & fresh on the spot (Deli is open 7am-2pm Wed-Sun) are incredible!!! Best I've ever had. And inexpensive. 4- great beer selection including local microbrews! This new local haunt is big on our list. Hopefully others in the Valley will come try it out too!
