I spent 2 nights here last year and had a great time. The bed was so comfortable and had a great comforter. We didn't have the best view (the top of the parking garage...) and the room was a little small but we only paid $250 for two nights in downtown Toronto. There was a pool, a gym and a sauna that I checked out. They seemed clean enough but a little small.
The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful with finding us a place for dinner. There is a parking garage, but they make you pay to park there on top of the room rate (which I thought was a little lousy.)
The area is great for walking around, right next to the lake and right across the street from some coffee shops and bars. I also felt very safe walking home after a late dinner, it's in a decent, well populated area.
