  • I used this service in the past a couple of times. I had my A/C recharged and it worked for a while. Then my A/C started blowing hot air. I called yourmechanic and explained the problem. I was told the same mechanic that recharged my A/C would be out to do an inspection to see if there was a problem with the work he did. I was told if there was a problem with the work he did, there would be no charge. But if it was a problem outside of what he did and he had to do repairs there would be a charge. Pete, the mechanic, came out and did his inspection. He determined that my A?C compressor was no longer working and had to be replaced. But he did NO repairs at that time. I looked at my bank account the next day and found that there was a $70 charge by yourmechanic!! I called and inquired as to why there was a charge when I was previously told there wouldn't be one. My first call to customer service I was put on hold for 30 mins. The CSR finally came back online and told me to call back in 30 mins to talk to the warranty dept. I called back later and left a message. Mike from the warranty dept called me back and I explained everything to him. He gave me double talk, telling me that its PART OF THE SERVICE to charge me even though it was only and inspection and no actual work was done. I asked him how they got the money out of my account because I didn't sign anything or authorize any charges . He told me that it was a warranty issue and because I signed a document long time ago they could take out the $70. I have never heard of any garage charging only for an inspection. They usually are happy to do the inspection wanting you to use them for the repair of what' wrong. I told this to Mike and he remained adamant. He refused to bend at all and his customer service skills SUCK!! IF YOU TAKE A CHANCE WITH THIS SERVICE, WATCH OUT!!! YOU COULD FIND UNWARRANTED CHARGES COMING OUT OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!! DO NOT TRUST ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE REP FOR THIS BUSINESS. ITS A CALL CENTER IN CALIFORNIA. YOU NEVER TALK TO ANY WHO IS ACTUALLY IN THE OFFICE OF yourmechanic. My advice is STAY AWAY!!! I'm sure that there are other mechanics out there that will have honest people supporting them.
