  • This was such a fun way to get a little Las Vegas history lesson! We reserved a spot on a guided tour just after sunset, so we got to see the signs lit up (some are just laying around, not actually hooked up but illuminated by other lights shining on them) and it looked really cool. Our guide was really entertaining and informative, asking us questions and telling us where the signs came from. We learned about people who created signs as well as the casinos or other places that the signs belonged to. The tour was a good length and pace, and the gift shop/lobby was fun to look around while we waited for it to start. I'm also glad we went just because it was nice to get away from the touristy downtown area where we spent the rest of our vacation. It was a little expensive, but at least I felt like my money was going to a good cause (the preservation of the historical signs in the museum), and we could have done the cheaper day-time tour, but I think it was worth a little extra to go at night and see the lights.
