| - Here's the story - when my partner and I were in Paris we fell in love with a French pastry made by Pierre Hermé called Plaisir Sucré. It's heavenly, what's in it? Milk chocolate sheet, milk chocolate whipped cream, milk chocolate ganache, hazelnut praline feuilletine & hazelnut dacquoise. Heaven, just as I said.
For my partner's birthday, I decided to email Stephanie at Roselle to ask if it would be something she could recreate. Stephanie responded promptly and was very open to the idea. Stephanie was up for the task and even updated me along the way leading up to the birthday. On my partner's birthday, we went to Roselle to pick up our treats. We had a lovely conversation with Stephanie and Bruce, such nice people and so welcoming! We sat down to taste the masterpiece and WOW, we were amazed - but not surprised considering all the other goods in the shop and Stephanie and Bruce's culinary background. The Plaisir Sucré was incredible - so fresh and everything about it was identical if not better than the Pierre Hermé version. If you know anything about Pierre Hermé, then you know this is a huge compliment!
It really was a highlight of the day, we will continue to go back of course, we are new loyal customers!
On a side note, we also grabbed some caramels and yes, as you may have guessed, heavenly. Overall, this is a place that I am happy to support, this is a business that is clearly passionate about what they do and it's evident as soon as you enter the shop.
Thank you Stephanie and Bruce!
