| - This is a review of the casino only.
I forgot to write my review of this place the last time I was in Las Vegas (January 2017). This casino opened up relatively recently at the time of my visit. After ~10 trips to Las Vegas and seeing/playing in the same casinos, I decided to go there to check it out.
I generally stay at the South Strip so I rarely will journey past Treasure Island during most visits. Lucky Dragon is located relatively close (within walking distance) to the Bonaza Gift Shop and Stratosphere.
Lucky Dragon is an Asian (Chinese) themed casino and has games which Asians or Chinese like to play. In terms of Chinese, a lot of the staff/workers speak Mandarin there (I don't believe that they have a lot that speak Cantonese since I could hear a lot of Mandarin but didn't hear any Cantonese during my visit there). When I signed up for my casino card, the lady behind the counter immediately spoke to me in Mandarin. I spoke back in Mandarin indicating that I only spoke Cantonese and English and she switched to English.
The only game that I played was the slot machine (for my free credits upon signing up for their casino player's card) as well as BlackJack. At the time that I went, for signing up for their casino card, they offered either $8, $88, or $888 free play credits. The amount is entered onto your card and you don't know how much you have as a bonus until you stick your card into one of the slot machines and insert $1 into the machine. As expected, I only got $8 in terms of free game play credits.
I don't play craps but for the craps players out there, they didn't have any craps tables that I could see. They did have Baccarat but I didn't play (since I don't know how to play). Getting a bit hard to find but Blackjack here (at least in the table that I played at) pays 3-2 (at a $10 minimum bet). The casino itself is what I would describe as one of the smaller casinos that I've been in.
During my next annual trip to Las Vegas, I might pass here again just to try some of the food in the restaurants but as mentioned earlier, I rarely go north of Treasure Island except when I go to Fremont Street.
