  • My husband and I came in for lunch. I had the steak lunch special and he had the curry lunch special. The food was good and the price was right. The green tea waffle dessert was delicious. The two stars is for the food and price ONLY. The service was mediocre at best. The servers were prompt but not very warm or friendly. I give zero stars for an attempt at dinner. Since I am pregnant, I was craving the green tea waffle dessert. We decided to try the dinner service. As soon as we walked in, the man at the door rudely said I will be right with you. He immediately turned his back to me and stormed off as I stood by the podium waiting for a couple minutes before I realized that he wasn't coming back. We decided to sit down and wait. The other two couples that were sitting in the front looked as if they were waiting a long time too. No one came back to the podium. I couldn't even talk to a person to inquire about wait times, place a togo order, or put my name on the wait list. After 15 minutes of waiting for someone to come back to the podium, we decided to leave. I used to be a hostess at a cafe and at a fine dining restaurant and there should always be someone at the door to greet and attend to the guests. The first impression of a restaurant should be positive and this place left a bad impression. There are many other japanese places that offer the same quality of food with good service. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
