On our last trip to Vegas we had stumbled upon this bakery but were too full to try anything. For this next trip, I wanted to make sure I got to try one of the delicious looking pastries at this bakery.
This is Buddy Valastro's (face of the Cake Boss TV show) bakery but I really didn't care about that much. It was the case after case of desserts that caught my interest. They are eye catching and there is a huge variety of what you can get. I also liked the unique take on old dessert favorites like the Boston creme pie, which they had in a little circular mold instead of as a pie slice.
I got the Lobster Tail which is what they are known for. It's a croissant shaped like a lobster tail with powdered sugar on top and fluffy creme stuffed in the tail. I loved it and I felt like it was the extreme version of a creme puff. My husband got the Oreo cake tower. I'm not sure if it was written in the description but this turned out to be a cheesecake which my husband does NOT like. I didn't get to try it but based on the size of the dessert, a cheesecake would've been very rich.
We had to wait in a line when we arrived but I know this isn't unusual for this place. The one thing I didn't like was how bored and disinterested the employees looked. They completely killed the fun vibe of this place and made you feel like you were in the Seinfield "Soup Nazi" episode when you place your order. You work with heavenly desserts all day; put on a smile!
