  • I came here with a few co-workers for my going away dinner. I've always driven by the Peppermill when I'm on this side of the Strip, but I've never actually stepped inside it. Upon entering, I was a bit surprised. From the outside it doesn't really look like much but once you step in, it's like entering a different world. The inside was really cool because everything was bright and colorful, yet still had a dimly-lit feeling. The bright neon lights and the light above our table didn't make it seem as dark as it felt. I really dig the ambience to this place. I ordered the pork loin and eggs. The dish consisted of 4 pan-fried pork cutlets, hash browns, your choice of toast, and 3 eggs of any style (I went with poached eggs). The pork loin was soft and tender. I'm sometimes hesitant to order pork dishes (especially pan-fried pork loin) because they run the risk of being hard, dry, and unappealing. The way the chefs cooked the pork here made the pieces easy to cut, and retain most of the natural juices and flavor. Bravo! The hash brown shreds are bigger in size than most places that serve similar diner food. The poached eggs were alright, and is best eaten with the sourdough toast. This is probably one of the places you should visit if you're ever on the north end of the Strip. Come for the unique ambience, but definitely stay for the great tasting food!
