I really enjoy places such as this ... and I expect a little bit of grit in my refurbished warehouse/industrial districts, but this is as dirty a retail rehab district as I've ever seen. Asides from the parking being a mismanaged fiasco, I blame the local business owners for not sweeping up outside and around their businesses and not even caring to cut a few weeds outside their doorways.
I have no doubts The Strip has earned its reputation, places such as this are really a joy to visit and get a feel for a city, but the business owners are trashing that reputation by not taking better care of it.
