| - I just had a great experience buying a used car at Lexus of Chandler. I saw the car on AutoTrader.com a couple of days ago and emailed to ask them what the out-the-door cash price was. Jeff Bounds is their internet sales guy, and he responded to my inquiry very quickly, which is more than I can say for some other dealerships.
Jeff emailed me again this morning to ask when I was coming in, and when I called him back, he said that since they had just reduced the price by another thousand to sell it this weekend, there were LOTS of inquiries all of a sudden. We got there just as some others did to look at the car, and Jeff was a proactive as he could be. When it turned out that the other people couldn't buy it, he started our paperwork immediately.
There was absolutely no pressure to up-sell us, or to even consider another car. He knew that we wanted what we wanted, and that we also wanted to have this process be as easy as possible. Within a couple of hours, we were driving off in my new car. I am fully satisfied that I got a great deal, and working with Jeff was a pleasure. Now, how often do you hear that?
