  • Had an operational ice maker that produced ice, however, seemed to have a water leak in the connection somewhere as icicles would form. Called the 480 area code number listed on the website https://www.scottsdaleapplianceandacrepair.com/ to schedule service. The man that answered was very congenial and scheduled me with one of "his" technicians to come out. The guy came out...said the whole icemaker part needed to be replaced and he didn't have the part and would have to come back. He came back and installed the "new" one on Dec 30th 2016. Said to give it "at least" 24 hrs to start making ice. Over the new year holiday we had to just buy bags of ice because the "new" one wasn't producing anything. On Jan 3 rd when we still didn't have ice and now, once again, had icicles from a water leak we called it in. I should say that as is on their website, they say everything is guaranteed, it is stamped on the receipt that there is a 90 day parts AND labor warranty. Not-so-much we learned. Called the 623# listed on the receipt several times for the direct number to the technician (Alex) as we were instructed to do if we had any issues at all. Left voicemails'...he never called back. Called the main office 480 # and we were scheduled for Alex to come back out. That is when all the trouble began. What everyone should know is that these folks are running a scam. Their workers are 1099 and do not work for the website listed business. They make this very misleading as the business name listed on the receipt is exactly the same as the website though they dropped the A/C portion. Suffice to say we now have no ice, a continuation of a leak...and no warranty as it is explicitly stated on both the website and on the receipt. This is deliberate. I have recorded conversations with "David" at the 480# acknowledges he sent Alex to us...Alex denies he is connected to this business and that I "must be confused" because he doesn't know any David and has no connection to the business above and that he is the owner and people confuse him all the time with the above listed site/business. Later, however Alex is caught in the conversation pointing me to the 480# mans website (listed above) to find warranty language. He also "accidentally" acknowledged that he received the work order from the man at the website (David) owns. We are filing with the AZ Atty General. This is a major scam. Will file with 3 on your side as well as a complaint with the AZ Corporation Commission and file small claims for the $300.00 spent. Scammers! Stay away!!
