  • This was the third time we used the Chip Off the Old Block service for the annual trimming of our trees. The first time I would have given them five stars, the second time down to four stars, and now three stars. Communication after the initial meeting with the arborist was non-existent --- I didn't get a return phone call with a question I had and then information that he and I discussed was not passed on to the crew that came to do the work. In the past it was always easy to identify the leader of the crew, but not so much this time. I will say that they did a fantastic job on our trees but the trimming of bushes was rushed and not very good. Since no one seemed to be in charge, there wasn't anyone checking the work before they left. Their service isn't inexpensive but in the past I always felt I got value for what they did. This time I'm not so sure and will shop around when it's time to have our trees trimmed again.
