  • So I will admit up front I do not drink beer, but I like a good brewery atmosphere. One of the things I really like about Heist is that it has a great selection of other spirits for us non-beer drinkers (unlike some breweries). I've tasted about 4 of their specialty cocktails, and I've enjoyed all of them. The cocktail menu rotates which is cool, but also a bit of a bummer if you find a drink you really love. The food is also good. It's tapas style, with good portions for sharing. I've tried the pork belly tacos, sliders, duck flatbread, wings, and a few other items and I wasn't disappointed by any of them. When the weather is nice, the patio is a great place to hang out. It's not huge, but it's nice and the live music out there is great. When the weather isn't cooperating, the inside atmosphere is also very nice. This is probably the best brewery I've been to so far in Charlotte.
